The DESIGNER

Vanessa personally believes that fashion is the ultimate form of self expression. A simple piece of fabric crafted into a fabulous garment has the power to represent an individual’s feelings and personality. Born in Melbourne Australia, Vanessa always had an interest in Fashion and the arts. In her teenage years she moved to London where she resided for a number of years and immersed herself in the fashion industry, working for companies such as Christian Dior, Dolce&Gabbana and Giuseppe Zanotti Design. On return to Australia she decided to pursue her dream to study fashion design, and graduated from a Bachelor Degree in Design and Technology (RMIT) where she was awarded 2016 Most Outstanding Student. Vanessa also attended FIDM in Los Angeles where she completed study with Presidents Honour Roll.  Currently based in Los Angeles California, Vanessa's skills, creativity and unique aesthetic are sure to leave a mark on the ever changing fashion industry with her self titled label.

WE SUPPORT SLOW FASHION

At VANESSA PORTELLI we support the slow fashion movement. All our fabrics are hand sourced here in LA, and featured fabrics are crafted of dead-stock fabrics. This means that our fabrics are extremely limited and exclusive, and only a limited amount of orders will be accepted!

All of our garments are MADE-TO-ORDER and HANDMADE right down to the very last detail. Once an order has been placed, one of our specialists cuts, sews and finish’s each garment in our Los Angeles based studio. Once your order has been completed it will be shipped directly to you within 4 weeks of your order being placed. As they say, good things come to those who wait!
